Wendy McDonnell
Wendy is a landscape photographer based in Wensleydale, where she has spent many years photographing the Yorkshire Dales.
Her work has featured in national and regional publications, and she regularly undertakes commissions exploring the landscape and stories of North Yorkshire.
Inspired by the changing seasons, weather and light, her photography captures the atmosphere and character of the Dales - from crisp winter mornings and vibrant summer meadows to dramatic skies, waterfalls, limestone landscapes and the working landscape that surrounds them.
Rather than always searching for new locations, Wendy enjoys returning to familiar places again and again, discovering that no two visits are ever the same. Her photography is, in many ways, a long conversation with the landscape she calls home.
