David Speight

My name is David Speight, and I was born in 1972. I’m a full-time professional landscape and nature photographer hailing from West Yorkshire. My passion for capturing the beauty of the natural world began during the late 1990s, with the purchase of an old Canon film SLR. The stunning landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales are where it all started, and what served as the initial catalyst for my photographic journey. It was while fishing at the picturesque Semerwater Lake in Wensleydale that my interest in photographing the landscape was ignited, setting me on a path that would eventually take over not only my other hobbies, but also my life!

Today, David's dedication to landscape and wildlife photography is his livelihood. He shares his expertise and love for the craft by leading engaging workshops and tours across the United Kingdom and also abroad. Through these experiences, he guides aspiring photographers of all levels, helping them to develop their skills and discover the joy of capturing the breathtaking scenery and diverse wildlife that we are so fortunate to enjoy here in the UK.
