David Tarn

David has always enjoyed time in the countryside and especially in the Yorkshire Dales, where landscape photography was his excuse to be out in the countryside more often than would otherwise be reasonable. When he decided to turn his hobby into a profession, his photographs were enjoyed by enough people to enable him to make a living as a landscape photographer for over thirty years.

David’s work has been published in photography magazines, on Ordnance Survey maps and in many books about the Dales. Following collaborations with the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Millennium Trust, David has published his Yorkshire Dales calendar every year since 2005.

David has held many solo exhibitions and collaborative exhibitions as well as selling prints through galleries. The print is his absolute favourite use for an image; he loves to see his pictures printed and presented and loves that people want to give his images space in their homes.
